We are looking for a reliable, safety-focused Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide roadside assistance, vehicle recovery, and towing services while delivering excellent customer service. This position requires a valid DOT Medical Card and the ability to safely operate tow trucks in a variety of driving and weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate flatbed and/or wheel-lift tow trucks.
- Respond promptly to dispatch calls for towing, roadside assistance, accident recovery, and vehicle transport.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload vehicles without causing damage.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Complete all required paperwork, logs, and incident reports accurately.
- Maintain communication with dispatch regarding job status and location.
- Provide courteous, professional customer service during every service call.
- Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Keep trucks clean, fueled, and properly maintained.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required if applicable to the position).
- Current DOT Medical Card (Required).
- Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and background check.
- Previous towing or commercial driving experience preferred.
- Knowledge of safe towing and vehicle recovery techniques.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
